The St. Catherine's Saints entered their tilt with the Collegiate Cougars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Catherine's came out on top against Collegiate by a score of 38-26 on Friday. This was payback for St. Catherine's, who suffered a 34-31 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, Collegiate saw an underclassman step up: Clare Aman dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aman has scored all season.
St. Catherine's has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Collegiate, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
St. Catherine's will head out on the road to take on Trinity Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Episcopal is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Collegiate will take on St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Collegiate is ranked 106th).
