After three games on the road, Coventry is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Windham Whippets at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Coventry ended the year with a bang, routing Lyman Memorial 53-28.
Meanwhile, Windham came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bolton 58-31 at home.
Aniya Jenkins was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Asihja Harris, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Coventry back to even at 3-3. As for Windham, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
