Canfield is 8-2 against Howland since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Canfield Cardinals will be playing at home against the Howland Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Canfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Austintown-Fitch, taking the game 46-35.
Meanwhile, Howland earned a 33-22 victory over Harding on Wednesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Howland has scored all year.
Howland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Massucci out in front who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Maya Kubancsek, who scored six points.
Canfield's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for Howland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.
Canfield beat Howland 53-45 in their previous meeting on January 10th. Will Canfield repeat their success, or does Howland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
