The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will be taking part in a tournament against the Brawley Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Mt. Carmel is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Mission Vista on Friday. They fell just short of Mission Vista by a score of 2-1.
Mt. Carmel got a good showing from Sirena Castro, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Meanwhile, Brawley waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Vikings 12-2.
Arriana Garcia spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
