The Cambridge Christian Lancers posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Redeemer Christian on the road to the tune of 73-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cambridge Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Cambridge Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Martinez, who scored 21 points. Andrew Proffitt was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben DiBlasi, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Patrick Miller-Edwards, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
The victory got Cambridge Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Redeemer Christian, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cambridge Christian will take on Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Redeemer Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Warner Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th.
