The Hanks Knights's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Byron Nelson by a score of 58-48.
Hanks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elise (Jax) Alva, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Alva. The team also got some help courtesy of Daisy Fernandez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Several Bobcat players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kennedy Moss, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Moss is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Love Kabongo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Hanks' victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Byron Nelson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanks and Chapin will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
