Kamehameha made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 565 from 812. The advance stemmed from a 43-19 victory over St. Louis last week.
The Warriors led Interscholastic League [ILH] I in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the Crusaders.
Punahou's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Buff n' Blue feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Larry Tuileta has thrown for 1715 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Kanawai Noa has 42 catches for 978 yards. Ryan Tuiasoa leads the league in rushing with 712 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between St. Louis and Punahou. Matt Wright's team comes into the matchup ranked seventh in the state, while the Buff n' Blue ranks second.
Punahou's Noa is only 22 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the the Crusaders.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when St. Louis and Kale Ane's team meet this week. The Crusaders features well-regarded senior Reeve Koehler while the Buff n' Blue has Isaac Savaiinaea, a sought after senior.
