Basketball Recap: Macey Kiser's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Joshua Christian over Grayson Christian

If Joshua Christian was feeling good fresh off their 57-16 takedown of Johnson County Sports Association last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Joshua Christian Knights took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grayson Christian. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-28 last Saturday.

Joshua Christian lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Macey Kiser, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Kiser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Buchanan, who posted seven points in addition to nine steals and five rebounds.

Joshua Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Grayson Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Joshua Christian has already played their next contest (against DasCHE), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grayson Christian will challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Grayson Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
