Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charisse Martin, who scored 15 points along with six steals. Damaria Gatlin was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Miami Beach bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Miami Beach will be home for the holidays to greet Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Nova at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Nova is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
