The Carver Tigers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Thomasville, posting a 72-39 victory at home. Carver has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.
Tony Montgomery was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Champ Simpson, who scored 16 points along with two blocks.
Carver's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.1 points. As for Thomasville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Carver and Monroe will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Thomasville, they will head out on the road to face off against Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brooks County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
