The Rocklin Thunder had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 17-6 victory over St. Mary's on Saturday. The win was nothing new for Rocklin as they're now sitting on six straight.
Rocklin found their leader in underclassman Reeve Slone, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Rocklin will be playing at home against Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grant's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests. St. Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
