Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Messiah Boykin, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah West, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Temple, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Southeast Whitfield County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Whitfield County has now lost 16 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Temple, they will head out on the road to square off against Heard County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heard County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last three matches.
