Video: Emmitt Smith's son rushes for nearly 200 yds. and 5 TDs
See EJ Smith continue his superb sophomore campaign.
EJ Smith, son of Dallas Cowboys legend and Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith, keeps on rolling during an impressive sophomore season for
Dallas Jesuit (Texas).
EJ Smith balled up Friday and rushed for 166 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-34 win over Richardson (TX). It was the Rangers' first win after four losses.
Not only does EJ resemble dad in running style — a nice blend of power, shifty feet and a burst of speed — but after each score he just flips the ball the referee. Even as a 10th grader, he's seen the end zone plenty and plans to get there plenty more.
It's not the first time EJ Smith has gone off this season. In a 41-36 season-opening loss to DeSoto, he notched 87 receiving yards, 52 rushing yards and four total touchdowns.
The super sophomore appears to be following in his father's footstep. He holds an Division I offer from Jackson State.
