Riverside extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-12. They came up short against the Duval Charter Panthers, falling 16-6. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Kenton Scott and Joshua Skipper stepped up to the plate in a big way. Scott went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Skipper went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Skipper has become a key player for Riverside: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Rylan Covington was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
As for Duval Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.
On Duval Charter's side, Jayden Pulazi made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits. Pulazi was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Logan Zapata was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Haynes, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Coming up, Riverside will square off against Andrew Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Duval Charter, they will take on Hilliard at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
