Little Kanawha recap November 13, 2013
St. Marys extended the longest winning streak in Little Kanawha this week by beating Doddridge County, 21-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Ravenswood was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Ripley. The Red Devils came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of David Lipscomb and Ryan Hass proved to be unstoppable against St. Marys, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lipscomb threw for 98 yards and Hass had 52 yards receiving. Jarrod Sandy helped Doddridge County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 37 yards.
Gilmer County's Austin Cunningham and Austin Ratliff led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Cunningham has thrown for 1,501 yards this season, while Ratliff has 44 catches for 561 yards. Wyatt Ford from Doddridge County leads the league in rushing with 1,629 yards.
Ritchie County was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Rebels triumphed over Grafton 48-14.
