The Keefe Tech Broncos will take on the Burncoat Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keefe Tech is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Last Wednesday, Keefe Tech needed a bit of extra time to put away Worcester Tech. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted since May 15, 2024.

Danny Secatore made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Keefe Tech is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise. Secatore was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chris Anastos, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Nate DeBoer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Keefe Tech hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Worcester Tech struck out 11 times.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Burncoat and Prouty meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Patriots walked away with a 6-2 win over the Panthers.
Keefe Tech pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Burncoat, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.
Keefe Tech might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from Burncoat in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
