The Woodside Wolverines can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past Kecoughtan 79-55. Given Woodside's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Kecoughtan is ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Kecoughtan still got an impressive performance from Tyler Suber, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briant Galbreath, who scored eight points.
Woodside's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Kecoughtan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodside will take on Archbishop Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kecoughtan, they will head out on the road to challenge Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
