After a string of four wins, the Fallston Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 43-36 to Patterson Mill. Fallston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Patterson Mill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Fallston still got an impressive performance from Ayla Galloway, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Galloway is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Wirth, who scored three points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Fallston's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Patterson Mill, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Fallston will look to defend their home court on Monday against Havre de Grace at 5:00 p.m. Patterson Mill on the road again on Monday and play against Harford Tech at 6:45 p.m. on January 22nd.
