Alex Valay tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Gloucester County Tech's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3-1 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Gloucester County Tech got a massive performance out of Jackson Dolson, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Dolson has hit this season. Michael Mason was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Gloucester County Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Williamstown posted their closest win since May 15, 2025 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Glassboro 3-1. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Gloucester County Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Williamstown, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
