Cathedral Prep entered their tilt with Seneca on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bobcats 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ramblers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Cathedral Prep was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-22.
Cathedral Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mackenzie Moore out in front who had 32 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Moore has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Resurreccion, who had six digs and five aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Cathedral Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.
Despite the defeat, Seneca had strong showings from Sophia Primavere, who had six aces, three digs, and two blocks, and Samantha Harvey, who had 16 digs. Harvey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Cathedral Prep's record now sits at 8-9-1. As for Seneca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-3 record this season.
Cathedral Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Fairview on the 2nd. As for Seneca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Union City on the 2nd.
