The First Colonial Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-17 loss at the hands of Landstown. First Colonial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Landstown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Rhett McNamara and Tyson Moravec certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. McNamara picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Moravec threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns.
First Colonial's loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Landstown, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-4.
First Colonial will head out on the road to face off against Kempsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Landstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Run at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Green Run will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
