The Aptos Mariners''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 26-14 to Soquel. Aptos was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Soquel apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.
Leading Soquel to victory were Braylon Noble and Sam Whelan. Noble picked up 55 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Whelan threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Aptos' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Soquel, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Aptos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Soquel will look to defend their home field on Friday against Carmel at 7:00 p.m. Carmel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 418 points over their last nine matches.
