After losing to The Millis Mohawks the last time they met, the Case Cardinals decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Case walked away with a 28-15 win over Millis on Thursday. That's two games straight that Case has won by exactly 13 points.
Case's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Orton led the charge by throwing for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Nathan Wood was another key contributor, rushing for 87 yards and a touchdown.
The victory makes it two in a row for Case and bumps their season record up to 4-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Millis and 1-8 Seekonk. As for Millis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Case will head out on the road to face off against Nantucket at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millis, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Holbrook at 6:00 p.m. Holbrook will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
