After flying high against the Weber Warriors last Friday, the Fremont Silverwolves came back down to earth. Fremont was beaten by Syracuse 65-33 on Tuesday. Fremont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-11.
Syracuse's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Sanders led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 assists. Cortnie Barker was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Fremont now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Syracuse, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on Layton at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Layton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Syracuse, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Farmington at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Farmington is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
