The Unity Reed Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 67-44 loss to Battlefield might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Unity Reed in their matchups with Battlefield: they've now lost eight in a row.
Unity Reed lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Evan Bukva, who scored 11 points. Charles Pargo was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Unity Reed dropped their record down to 4-18 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Battlefield, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Unity Reed does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Battlefield, they will head out on the road to challenge Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gainesville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Battlefield likes a good challenge.
