The Reed-Custer Comets won the last time they faced the Streator Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Reed-Custer snuck past Streator with a 48-42 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Reed-Custer.
It was another big night for Kaylee Tribble, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Mya Beard was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
The win got Reed-Custer back to even at 11-11. As for Streator, their loss was their 22nd straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-22.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer will take on Beecher at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Streator, they will be playing at home against Coal City at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Coal City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Streator in Illinois (Coal City is ranked 120th, while Streator is ranked 673rd).
