Section 11 Division IV recap November 13, 2013
Babylon extended the longest winning streak in Section 11 Division IV this week by beating East Hampton-Bridgehampton-Pierson, 53-8. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
John Glenn moved up to 245 from 283 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Knights were able to move up by beating Bayport-Blue Point 30-0.
Shoreham-Wading River's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Danny Hughes has thrown for 715 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Mitch Identsohn has 9 catches for 307 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Babylon takes on second place Shoreham-Wading River.
Two of the top teams in Section 11 Division IV will go toe-to-toe this week when Shoreham-Wading River takes on Babylon. The Wildcats' offense has racked up 282 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Panthers have allowed only 78 on the year.
John Glenn made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,568 from 8,429. The improvement was largely due to a 30-0 victory over the Phantoms last week.
