Football Recap: St. Bernard's Skates Past Eureka with Ease + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between St. Bernard and Eureka, and St. Bernard's kept the tradition alive. The Crusaders claimed a resounding 43-6 victory over the Loggers. Fans of the Crusaders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Trenten Hagler was his usual excellent self, throwing for 174 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards. Kuron Devlin was in the mix as well, providing St. Bernard's with two scores.

St. Bernard's didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Devlin and Tyler Hinrichs. Hinrichs is also on a roll when it comes to PATs, as he's now made three or more in each of the last four games he's played. St. Bernard's got some further help from Jahseree Bailey: he picked up two sacks, made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

St. Bernard's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Eureka, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
