Somerset Academy's Deion Pierre recorded the longest rushing play in 4A District 7 this season in his game against King's Academy last week. Pierre ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 131 on the day as his team fell to the Lions.
The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
North Broward Prep's Kevin Bush and Chris Taylor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bush has thrown for 1049 yards this season, while Taylor has 14 catches for 345 yards. Pierre from Somerset Academy leads the league in rushing with 487 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Brandon Walker's team. As it stands, North Broward Prep is in second, while the Panthers are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Rex Nottage's team and Somerset Academy face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Eagles comes in having scored 205 this season, while the Panthers have scored 86.
