Basketball Recap: Leggett Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Leggett had won four straight home games and Bianca Perkins did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Leggett Pirates came out on top against the Goodrich Hornets by a score of 41-34 thanks in part to Perkins, who went 7 for 15 en route to 19 points and five steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Tamera Henderson was another key player, putting up 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Leggett is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Goodrich, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.

Leggett will take on Zavalla at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Goodrich, they will square off against Broaddus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Broaddus will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Goodrich surely won't give up without a fight.
