The Verrado Vipers will challenge the Centaurus Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Verrado will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Verrado is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past La Junta 14-4 on Wednesday. With that win, the Vipers brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Kyan Sims looked comfortable as he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Verrado let Cole Cassidy and Quinn Plummer run wild. Cassidy went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Plummer went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Plummer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Zacher, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Verrado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Centaurus beat Woodland 8-3 on Thursday. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Liam Sweeney looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ben Sehnert, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Glenn, who earned two runs and one stolen base.
Centaurus' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Verrado, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.
Centaurus' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Verrado has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game.
