The Ponitz Career Tech Golden Panthers were the 67-59 winner over the Stivers School for the Arts Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Ponitz Career Tech took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stivers School for the Arts.
Stivers School for the Arts' win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kevon Bozeman, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Wright, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Ponitz Career Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Stivers School for the Arts, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ponitz Career Tech will challenge Bellbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stivers School for the Arts, they will head out on the road to face off against Trotwood-Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
