Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but St. Peter unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Raymond Boys Ravens by a score of 3-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

St. Peter's got a good showing from Joe Bello, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Bello has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Peter's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Levine, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Peter's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for St. Raymond Boys, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Coming up, St. Peter's will look to defend their home field on Monday against Iona Prep at 4:15 p.m. As for St. Raymond Boys, they will head out on the road to face off against Monsignor Farrell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
