The Kosciusko Whippets won against the West Point Green Wave on Friday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Kosciusko strolled past West Point with points to spare, taking the game 50-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kosciusko.
Kosciusko's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cory Guyton, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Andrew Mancell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Kosciusko is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for West Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Kosciusko will be home for the holidays to greet West Lowndes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Lowndes has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 395 points over their last six matches. As for West Point, they will head out on the road to face off against Aberdeen at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Aberdeen is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
