After a string of four wins, the Blue Hills RVT Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uxbridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blue Hills RVT has scored all season.
Uxbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Spencer led the charge by scoring 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mccusker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Blue Hills RVT's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Uxbridge, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Blue Hills RVT will take on Keefe Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Keefe Tech is ranked 14th, while Blue Hills RVT is ranked 27th). As for Uxbridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Prouty at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
