Briley Starks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hana Staples, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Bryn Weaver was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Bigelow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 27 runs the game before, St. Joseph was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Sacred Heart, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 10, 2024.
Bigelow's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Joseph, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
