Cedar is 0-3 against Crimson Cliffs since April of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The Reds will challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cedar took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hurricane. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Reds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cedar got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 34-32, 25-22.

Nathan Guzman and Kai Hunter were among the main playmakers for Cedar as the former had 20 digs and two aces and the latter had 30 assists and ten digs. Those 20 digs gave Guzman a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs entered their tilt with Pine View on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Panthers.
Crimson Cliffs had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-11.
Cedar better keep an eye on Colsen Neal. He was instrumental in Crimson Cliffs' win, getting 17 digs and one assist. Garrett Campbell also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.
Crimson Cliffs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine View only served nine aces.
Crimson Cliffs' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Cedar, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 7-12.
Cedar might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Crimson Cliffs in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Reds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
