The Belleville West Maroons won the last time they faced the Mascoutah Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Belleville West walked away with a 57-48 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Belleville West.
Belleville West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Scott, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylen Byrd, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Belleville West's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-12. As for Mascoutah, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.
Belleville West will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mascoutah, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jersey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
