After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Excel Christian Academy, the Avon Park Red Devils were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Moore Haven by a score of 49-39. For Avon Park, this counts as revenge for the 46-43 loss the Terriers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Leading Avon Park to victory were Christopher Kelly and Karl Pierre-Louis. Kelly scored 14 points, while Pierre-Louis scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Tayon Jones, who scored seven points.
Avon Park has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Moore Haven, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Avon Park will be playing at home against the Tornadoes at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 398 points over their last six matches. As for Moore Haven, they and the Blue Devils will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
