The Shawnee Braves will face off against the Northwestern Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Shawnee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Tecumseh a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The Braves have beaten the Arrows the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Arrows has come to flipping the script.

Alee Trimmer
| 04/11/25 vs Tecumseh | 0 |
| 04/10/25 @ Jonathan Alder | 1 |
| 04/07/25 @ Indian Lake | 1 |
Alee Trimmer tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maura Simpson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, three runs, and one triple. Nicole Greene was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Shawnee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
While Northwestern didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Bellefontaine 12-3 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Sophia Pamer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Olivia Deane was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bayleigh Ryder, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Shawnee's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Northwestern, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Shawnee has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Northwestern struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Shawnee skirted past Northwestern 2-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
