The Anahuac Panthers waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Warren with a sharp 78-55 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Jerrod Yeagin, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lewis Petty, who scored 15 points.
Anahuac is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Warren, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
Anahuac will head out on the road to face off against East Chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kountze at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kountze's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 contests.
