Leflore County will look to defend their home turf on Friday against South Delta at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Leflore County, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Leflore County came within a touchdown against Amanda Elzy last Friday, but wound up with a 20-30 loss.
South Delta had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Humphreys County on Friday as they made off with a 34-6 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since South Delta are ranked far ahead of Humphreys County in the MaxPreps rankings.
South Delta's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Leflore County's loss dropped them down to 0-2. Leflore County's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a South Delta defensive front that amassed 5 sacks against Humphreys County, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
