The South Ridge Panthers were the 57-56 winner over the Cook County Vikings when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The game between both teams wasn't particularly close, with South Ridge falling 68-51. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Cook County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rohan Rude, who scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Javantae Love, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
South Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Cook County, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Ridge will square off against Proctor at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cook County, they will head out on the road to square off against Mesabi East at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
