A big part of Doherty's win came down to the chemistry between Jordyn Marschall and his top target Brody Noll. Marschall threw for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Noll rushed for 40 yards and one score. Noll was even better on defense, making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Looking ahead, Liberty is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Doherty, they will host Palmer Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
