The Union County Fightin' Tigers will take on the Dunnellon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Union County is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 12, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Baldwin, falling 15-7. Fightin' Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Friday.

JAKE WALKER and Evan Roberts did some serious damage despite the final result: WALKER scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Roberts went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Roberts a new career-high. Jeffrey Brugh was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Dunnellon not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 14th. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Crystal River.

Gavin Whitehead was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Dunnellon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Payne, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Dunnellon's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Union County came out on top in a nail-biter against Dunnellon in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 3-2. Does Union County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dunnellon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
