While Christ the King's victory against Langtree Charter Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Lions 2-1 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

James Phillips was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Christ the King's record is now 9-6. As for Langtree Charter Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Langtree Charter Academy will venture away from home to square off against Queen's Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christ the King will be paying especially close attention to the Lions' contest: after the Lions faces off against the Stallions, they'll take on Christ the King again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
