The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins will take on the Triton Central Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Tri-West Hendricks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Lebanon on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.
Graham Willhelm made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Willhelm was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

The team relied heavily on Nick Riggins, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Hoover, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Triton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covenant Christian only posted a batting average of .226.
Triton Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-West Hendricks, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
