A well-balanced attack led the Notre Dame Academy Gators over the Hudson Catholic Hawks in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Notre Dame Academy enjoyed a cozy 48-33 victory over Hudson Catholic. Given Notre Dame Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 20th in New York, while Hudson Catholic is ranked 156th in New Jersey), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Notre Dame Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sabrina Kraker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 19 rebounds. Kraker is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Sweeney, who scored 19 points.
Notre Dame Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hudson Catholic, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Notre Dame Academy will square off against Petrides at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Petrides' defense has only allowed 24.7 points per game this season, so Notre Dame Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hudson Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
