Sam Pehrson Dazzles in Murray Win
Starting off the list is Murray's Sam Pehrson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pehrson rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory (which was Murray's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Pehrson and Murray are on the road again on Thursday to play Stansbury at 7:00 p.m.

Conner Whitehead Turns in Season-Best Effort
Murray was led to victory by Conner Whitehead, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Whitehead picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss).
On the year, Whitehead has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 15.6 rushing yards per game.

Vaughn Gritzmacher Turns in Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns
Vaughn Gritzmacher continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended a pass.
Murray's probably not too fond of Gritzmacher given he always seems to get the better of them. Gritzmacher rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in September of 2023.

Big Game from Bodily As Park City Won 37-7
Bash Bodily was a major factor in Park City's win over Jordan on Friday. Jordan had no answer to Bodily as he threw for 213 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes, and also caught a touchdown.
Bodily and Park City will face off against Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bodily will face off against Gus Pater, the Buffaloes' star quarterback. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Eli Warner Goes Supernova in Park City Win
Keeping Bodily company is Eli Warner, a fellow Park City player. He rushed for 82 yards and three touchdowns.
Warner is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Tooele on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Warner saw the Buffaloes), he rushed for 272 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 17.0 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.
