Two dominant players in Mia Robbennolt and Macey Crider are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Bloomington North Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Edgewood Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Bloomington North sitting on seven straight victories and Edgewood on three.
Even though Bloomington North has not done well against Columbus North recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bloomington North came out on top against Columbus North by a score of 51-44.
Meanwhile, Edgewood earned a 44-36 win over Eastern Greene on Wednesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edgewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Crider, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Laroche, who scored eight points.
Bloomington North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Everything came up roses for Bloomington North against Edgewood in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 59-27 win. Will Bloomington North repeat their success, or does Edgewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
